Jon Young has served in senior leadership roles in the energy sector for more than 30 years. From 1983 to 1997 Jon managed refinery operations, crude and products trading, and retail for Mobil Oil in the Australia and the US and served as CEO for IndoMobil from 1997-1999. In 2000 Jon joined Santos Ltd, Australia’s second largest oil and gas company, as General Manager of the South Australian Business Unit which contained the bulk of the company’s assets and production.
During his time at Santos Jon held a number of senior executive roles which included responsibilities for HS&E, exploration, development, operations and sales. Since 2011, Jon has served as the Group CEO for the Todd Corporation.
Paul Moore has 37 years of experience in numerous management and technical roles for Woodside, Santos, Fletcher Challenge Energy, Shell International, and immediately previously as Managing Director of ASX junior, Otto Energy. Paul’s professional background is in major upstream development and commercialisation projects across multiple continents.
Paul was appointed as CEO SLM in September 2014. He is a secondee of The Todd Corporation which he joined in 2011 as CEO of its subsidiary Todd Energy and as EVP Upstream Energy and Resources. Paul is a Chartered Engineer (UK), a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a SPE member for 30+ years.
Michael brings 35 years of experience in the methanol industry from his career at Methanex (1983-2013), the last ten of which he was on the Executive Team. Most recently, Michael was Methanex’s Senior Vice President, Global Operations, where he was responsible for all manufacturing activities globally, including 8 plants and 800 people.
Prior to that, Michael was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, where he conceived of and led Methanex’s project in Egypt from inception to successful operation. Michael was appointed Director, South Louisiana Methanol mid-January 2015.
Ron Oligney has more than 20 years of experience directing and chairing energy and environmental companies including Opal Energy Houston and Vancouver, Carey Energy Corporation, and OTEK Australia Pty Ltd. Ron was responsible for deﬁning the strategy under which Cheniere Energy, Inc. transitioned into the LNG business in the early-2000s; the company value increased from $20 million to $2 billion between 2001 and 2004.
Ron has advised the Clinton and Bush Administrations, the State of Texas, Fortune 500 companies, and national oil companies and is co-author of book, “The Color of Oil.” Ron is currently CEO of ZEEP Incorporated.
Chris has 30 years’ experience in legal and senior management roles across the energy, healthcare, wine and technology sectors. He is currently Group General Counsel and Vice-President Growth Businesses at Todd Corporation, where he oversees legal and regulatory matters and has executive responsibility for Integria Healthcare and for Todd’s investment in PartsTrader Markets, leads Todd’s Technology and Food investment strategies and provides executive supervision to Group Procurement.
Chris is a prior chair of the Petroleum Exploration and Production Association of NZ, director of Shell Todd Oil Services and is a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators. Before joining Todd, Chris spent 12 years at commercial law firm, Bell Gully.
Peter has over 30 years of experience in the energy sector holding numerous executive positions included responsibilities for exploration, development, oil and gas marketing and business development. While Commercial Director for the Petroleum Corporation/Fletcher Challenge Energy Ltd Peter conceived of and lead the acquisition of New Zealand Synthetic Fuels Corporation (Synfuels) from the New Zealand Government and Mobil.
Peter was a principal actor behind the restructuring the commercial model for Synfuels leading to the establishment of Methanex as an international methanol producer and marketer. From 1997-2011 Peter served as an independent consultant for numerous companies in the energy sector including for Methanex NZ where Peter was responsible for negotiating some of the key commercial agreements to permit the development of new greenfield methanol production capacity. Peter joined Todd in 2012 to work on gas to methanol and gas to gasoline projects.
Barry Williamson is an attorney with more than 30 years of experience in executive roles for Turpin, Smith, Dyer and Saxe Law Firm, Westech Capital and Tejas Incorporated. Barry also received several appointments to the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Interior. Barry acted as director and chairman of numerous boards and commissions including the Texas Railroad Commission, Interstate Oil and Gas Commission, and the Texas Alternative Fuels Commission.
Barry is currently Founder, Director, President and CEO of ZEEP Management (U.S.), Inc. and President of the SLM Project.
Michael Wolley brings to Todd more than 30 years of processing, engineering and corporate management experience.
From 1984-1987 Michael served as the Process Superintendent for New Zealand Synfuels at the Taranaki Gas to Methanol and Methanol to Gasoline Plant. Michael has acted as Chief Operating Officer for Lynas Corporation, the developer of a major rare earths mine and processing facility as well as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for various mining companies in Australia.
Michael joined Todd in 2011 as VP of Corporate Development and now serves as VP Minerals and Coal.
